Garden Landscape Work 03/2005
I had a retaining wall/planter built by our development's landscape company, and they proceeded to fill it with 5 yards of compost. I planted rosemary in the far corners and the scraggly bushes will grow into large lavender plants. Home Depot had a sale over Easter Weekend, so I bought about worth of plants, and a few pansies. What I like most is the bamboo fountain in the center back. It's surrounded by a variety of decorative grasses, each anchored by a handful of river rock. The finishing touch is a smattering of landscape lights focused on the rosemary, with two tier lights in each of the cut-out areas on either side of the cobblestone patio. Another light illuminates the fountain. This is my major home imporvement project of the year, and the costs were as follows: Retaining Wall/Planter: 0.00 Compost: 0.00 Plants: .00 Fountain: .00 Lighting: 0.00 Rock: .00 Total: 5.00 Image by mikeg626
